I’ve assembled a build for you that comes to roughly £1,100: CPU – Ryzen 5 3600: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07STGGQ18?tag=disneinfin-21 MOTHERBOARD – Gigabyte Arous Elite: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07TSKR7ZX?tag=disneinfin-21 RAM – Crucial Ballistix 16GB 3600MHz CL16: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07NPKTRS1?tag=disneinfin-21 GPU – XFX RX 5700 XT THICC III: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07ZP5QZX2?tag=disneinfin-21 SSD – Crucial MX500: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B078211KBB?tag=disneinfin-21 PSU – Corsair CX650M: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01C3FFATU?tag=disneinfin-21 CASE – Phanteks P400: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N9JPUYW?tag=disneinfin-21 You could get the MSI B450M Mortar MAX which is nearly half the price of the Gigabyte board and is mATX. This means you could then get a smaller mATX case so your PC is physically smaller. Case is a personal preference and dictated by motherboard form factor. Regarding the memory, it’s currently a good price for the Ballistix kit I linked to. £120 for 16GB 3600MHz CL16. There is also the £130 kit from G.Skill (F4-3200C14D-16GFX) which you could overclock to run at 3600MHz. You could save money here by going for a 3200MHz CL16 kit for about £70 and choosing ones with RGB if you prefer but the performance will be slightly reduced (~5% in titles heavy on memory bandwidth like The Witcher 3) . You could save some money by opting for a smaller SSD though I wouldn’t recommend anything smaller than 500GB and I definitely wouldn’t recommend the Samsung QVO drives. For graphics card, the RTX 2070 SUPER is the only comparable card from Nvidia but is about £100 more expensive and up to 10% faster in some titles. I guess you do get Ray-tracing in the few titles that support it – this is a decision you’ll have to weigh up yourself. The only worthwhile upgrade from here is the RTX 2080 SUPER, but it honestly isn’t worth the money. 1 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Leave an answerLeave an answerCancel reply Connect with: Featured image Select file Browse Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
